mass media

Mass media, such as radio and newspapers, have great influence on people. Some people are influenced a lot by media, while for others it makes no effect. In this essay I will write the good things about the media and the bad things about them. Finally I will give my opinion about this statement.

To start with, the mass media have great influence in shaping people’s ideas. Through this media, people get to expand their knowledge about everything around them. for example, with all the different programs that we watch on TV, we get a lot of information about the world, environment, sports, history, art, etc. Having all this knowledge makes us more civilized and knowledgeable people. We can get to know more about other cultures and traditions of different countries even without physically visiting. In short, mass media is the window of all humans to openness and progress.

On the other hand, some people are less influenced by the media. These people think the media has a negative result on the children because of the social issues that are discussed and broadcast, and that this  will affect the children mentally. Another reason is that they fear being exposed to everything in the world. And this,in turn, as they claim is behind rebellions around us.

In conclusion, whether the pros of the mass media outweigh its cons is a controversial issue. In my opinion,  the media must be censored. Also the governments must have full control over it to prevents our children from its hazards.

Portfolio Task 6

In many countries, the number of people continuing their education after school has increased. Also, the range of courses available at universities and colleges has increased. Some of them continue their education online or by distance. In this essay I will write about the negative and the positive developments and finally I will give my opinion.
To start with, in some countries there are a few negatives of the education development. One of these negatives is the country which already has long-established and devekoped systems of higher education. For example Britain and the USA, Educationists argue that the increase in the number of students will affect the universities degree and it will become devalued.
On the other side, in developing countries the development of higher education is a positive development. The UAE is a good example, because many years ago there was only minimal educational teaching. However, these days the UAE has one of the best educational systems in the world. Another example in the UAE is the Higher Colleges of Technology which have developed very fast in the last 20 years.
In conclusion, the number of students increased which affected the requirements to have a job in developed countries.

Today people move to new cities or new countries more than they live in their countries. They will get difficult challenges and experiences. Also they should know the strategies to deal with these challenges. In this essay I will write about the challenges from my experience and some examples and finally I will give my opinion.
To begin with, the people who are living in the new countries and cities will have a lot of difficulties. One of these difficulties is that he will live in another culture. He needs to learn about this culture and get used to it. Also he must adapt to the culture and the social custom. Another difficulty is he will have different laws and regulations in the new city or country. An important thing is language. Language is very hard to learn in the new country. For example, if you want to live in Germany you  must learn German(Deutsch) so, you can communicate withGerman people. Weather must affect things when you live in a new country. For example when you live in the UAE you will find the weather is very hot and no-one can live with this weather. Also if you are going to live in Russia you will find the country very cold. What are the strategies to deal with these challenges to live in a new country? One of these strategies is that you have to do some research about the country you are going to live in. Moreover, you have to learn their language and also you need to learn their laws and regulations.
In conclusion, as you can see , living in a new country must make our life difficult. Because you must learn new laws and regulations. Also you have to get used to the weather and language.
